Imagenation Abu Dhabi Announces "Sea Shadow"

Emirati film director Nawaf Al-Janahi, Imagenation Abu Dhabi
announced today in Cannes Film Festival that "Sea Shadow" will be
its first Emirati film production.
Written by
Emirati scriptwriter Mohamed Hasan Ahmed, the film is an endearing
coming of age story which centers on first love, family
relationships, and deeply-rooted values. The project is scheduled to
begin shooting in the UAE in October 2010.

'The Circle' Goes to Italy

Stay tuned for 'The Circle'
in Italy for the first time, as it was officially selected in the
56th edition of Taormina Film Festival, running in Taormina from 12

The film, which
is Nawaf Al-Janahi's first feature length film and runs for 82
minutes, talks about the relationship between death and destiny. The
story revolves around Ibrahim, a journalist and an author, and
Shihab who is a professional thief; they both meet accidentally just
to begin seeing the world with different perspectives. The film was
highly celebrated by both the audience and industry professionals
during its screenings in film festivals, and critics considered it
"a major turning point in Emirati and Gulf cinema".
Nawaf Al-Janahi
is currently preparing for several projects, one of which is his
second feature length film "Sea Shadow" written by Emirati
screenwriter Mohamed Hasan Ahmed. The film is scheduled to be shot
in UAE in October 2010.

Emirati film
director Nawaf Al-Janahi is preparing for his new feature film
entitled "Sea Shadow". The production is currently seeking
actors/actresses for some of the main characters. Experienced actors
are preferred, however, talented new faces are required as well.
This call is open
to Emirati actors, and non-Emiratis who speak Emirati dialect
fluently. The film is set to be shot in the city of Ras Al-Khaimah (UAE),
in October 2010.
